STAR was founded in 1998 with the opening of first supermarket on 13 Amiryan st.
The company's history as supermarket chain begins from June 2, 2005 with the opening of a new STAR supermarket on Tigran Mets Avenue. Currently STAR is a trade chain operating 17 supermarkets in Yerevan and 1 supermarket in Hrazdan.
STAR trade chain is part of AG Holding, which currently manages a number of companies, such as Arzni mineral water factory, AG Printe, AG Photo, AG Electronics etc. STAR brand is based on a concept that aims to satisfy customer needs, creating satisfaction due to the high quality of service, responsibility and value offers.
Our vision is to be company presenting value offers to our customers. At present, we serve more than 250 000 customer weekly, more than 20 000 SKU's are presented in our supermarkets, we provide more than 1,200 workplaces.

STAR: The results of "STAR social basket" for 2011.
Yerevan, 18 January, 2012: In January 2012 STAR trade chain summed up the results of the project "STAR social basket" for the past year. The results showed that since the launch of the project, August 1, 2011 until December 31, the cost of the basket has increased by 1.43%.

A new Star store at Christmas
Yerevan, December 27, 2011: STAR trade chain continues expanding and on December 28 opens its 28 th store which is the last one of this year. The new Star supermarket is located in Achapnyak district, where there are already 3 other Star stores.
