Potato salad with salted cucumber and mushroom


Ingredients:

4 big potatoes
Salted cucumbers
1 onion
50g champignon
Black grind pepper
Vegetable oil

 

Wash the potatoes, boil potatoes. Cool it for a while, cut with big pieces, add 2-3 tablespoon of salted cucumber water and leave for 10minutes.

Wash the mushrooms, cut into 4parts. Peel the onion and cut in half-rings. Fry the onion and mushroom in the fry-pan in heated vegetable oil for 7 minutes.

Cut the cucumber in cubes. Add to potatoes cucumbers, onion and mushroom. Dress it with vegetable oil and mix.

 

Truffles

Melt 185ml cream and 400 gr. chocolate; add 60gr dairy butter and 2 tablespoonfuls of rum, and mix. Freeze, until the mixture harden, afterwards make balls with spoon and roll in cacao powder or chocolate flakes.

Chocolate sauce

Melt 200g chocolate from 250ml double creams. Mix until the mixture becomes homogeneous and serve with vanilla ice-cream.

Mousse

Melt 400g chocolate. Whip 4 eggs with 50g sugar, afterwards add melted chocolate. Add 200ml whipped cream and pour into to bowels. Keep the mousse in the fridge until it hardens.

Chocolate cake

Whip 6eggs with 2 tablespoon of Kalhua (coffee) Liquor, add 400g melted chocolate, 165g grounded almond and 250g whipped cream. Pour the mass into the oiled baking form and put in the oven in 150C/Gas 2 for an hour. Put it into the fridge for the night, than take it out and pour with sugar powder.

 

 

Christmas Turkey

Turkey - 1pcs
Walnut 500gr
Prunes 500gr
Juicy apples 3-5pcs
Rice 1glass
Sour cream 200gr
Dairy butter 50gr
Mayonnaise 50gr
Salt and spices to your taste

Stuff the turkey with boiled rice, prunes and apples with walnut than sew it with white string. Smear sour-cream or mayonnaise on the turkey and put into the oven for 2.5hours. The whole turkey should be served and cut on the table.

Beef stewed with onions and red wine

Ingredients:

800 gr of beef flesh, cut into pieces
2 medium sized onions
2 carrots
bay leaf
several cloves
pinch of grinded nutmeg
pinch of grinded cinnamon
pinch of sugar
some flour
beef broth
2 glasses of dry red wine “Kenats Areni”
1/4 glasses of butter, salt and grinded pepper to your taste

Directions: Roll the beef slightly in the flour and fry on butter till browned. By the skimmer put the pieces of meat in a separate dish and set aside. Slice in rounds the onions and carrots and fry in the butter where you have fried the meat. Add the glass of broth and cook until the broth is boiled down. Put the meat back into the saucepan, add spices, piece of bay leaf, add salt and pinch of sugar. Pout Kenats Areni wine, cook until boiled, then cook on low with the lid closed, periodically adding the broth so that the meat is not dry. After one hour, season with pepper. Serve with fried potatoes with butter.

STAR: The results of "STAR social basket" for 2011.

Yerevan, 18 January, 2012: In January 2012 STAR trade chain summed up the results of the project "STAR social basket" for the past year.   The results showed that since the launch of the project, August 1, 2011 until December 31, the cost of the basket has increased by 1.43%.

A new Star store at Christmas

Yerevan, December 27, 2011: STAR trade chain continues expanding and on December 28 opens its 28 th store which is the last one of this year. The new Star supermarket is located in Achapnyak district, where there are already 3 other Star stores.
